Today's safety requirements for the production of food and pharmaceutical active ingredients and excipients are stricter than ever before: even the smallest omissions may have immense consequences for a company's reputation. We are aware of this responsibility and take every precaution in order to ensure you the greatest possible safety.

Quality can only be maintained if it is constantly checked. Our quality system takes this into account. The first step is a strict receiving inspection of the raw materials. Further features include documentation according to stringent QA criteria and measures such as auditing at regular intervals. In this way we ensure that all products leaving our factory are in top condition.

SternMaid meets the latest requirements in the field of allergen management as well as complying with the current regulations on hygiene and food safety. For example, our production plant is air-conditioned and can only be entered through a hygiene air lock.

One area of the production plant is dedicated entirely to the needs of our customers from the pharmaceutical industry. It is there that we make pharmaceutical active ingredients and excipients according to the rules of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). In implementing GMP we largely follow ICH Q7 and the EC GMP Guide, Part 2.
